Welcome to the Staffordshire Moorlands Greenbelt Preservation website
This site is currently work in progress. Here you will find details of any imminent or emerging threats to the Staffordshire Moorlands Greenbelt - some will be within the Staffs Moorlands local authority, others may well be neighbouring authorities that wish to build up to the Staffs Moorlands boundary, for example Stoke-on-Trent.
Links to any relevant planning applications will be displayed here, in an easy to find and understand format, because unfortunately many of the council planning portals are not that easy to navigate.
For those wishing to object, which will hopefully be the majority of this website viewers, you will find links to the objection forms or planning applications that must be completed. You may think that there is little point, but recent evidence has shown us that when planning applications start to receive over 100 objections, the council take those seriously, where as others have slipped "under the radar" and have been passed because people simply didn't know about them.
There are several big developments in the pipeline, not all are housing, some are vast solar panel farms or battery storage arrays. Each will be viewable using the top menu, however this will take time as this is a not for profit organisation run by volunteers, so if you have anything pressing then please get in touch, and most importantly - spread the word to your friends and neighbours.
